De Porto Seguro para Guarapari! / From Porto Seguro to Guarapari!

Today we woke up really early to go to Rio de Janeiro! We were really excited because it’s is one of the most known and beautiful cities in Brazil. The only problem is that is a really long trip. The day started with breakfast, like usual, but the difference was that everyone checked out at the right time, so we all had breakfast together!
We took the bus to Rio at 07:30am. In the morning everyone slept because the previous day was really tiring, but there were people who preferred to stay awake and look at the marvelous mountains on the way. Everyone woke up at 11:30am to eat in a very elegant restaurant with a really nice food. After that we started talking on the bus and almost everyone shared their first kiss stories. In our opinion talking about our experiences as the coolest part of the day until we got in the hotel in Guarapari. After we checked in everyone went out to have dinner in a self-service restaurant with live pop national rock music, in a really nice and very Brazilian ambient. When we were finished we went back to the hotel and had a meeting around the pool! See you in Rio de Janeiro!

Nosso dia em Porto Seguro! / Our day at Porto Seguro!

The start of the day was really weird since there was the possibility of rain, but after breakfast the day got sunny and beautiful. The day was great! We stayed and the beach and enjoyed the sun. Many did a henna tattoo; others took part in a dance contest with people from all over the world, which the Danish won. Everyone had lunch at the beach, and ate açaí, fish, empanadas and chicken kekab. At the afternoon we went to another citytour through Porto Seguro to visit the ‘old city’, where the Portuguese went to colonize Brasil. After that we went to spend time in Coroa Vermelha and learn more about the natives live on the Pataxó village. At night we went back to the same club from the day before to have dinner and exchange experiences with the other exchange students.
We did a native sieve, had the opportunity to talk to people we haven’t talked yet during the trip and to know each other better. At the end we learned how to hug and everyone hugged each other and thanked for the opportunity of being together on this trip. It was really exciting!

Quinto dia! / Fifth day!

Além disto, conhecemos a lenda do morro.

Fifth day of our adventure and, as always, everyone enjoyed a really nice breakfast. After that it seemed like the rain would ruin our tour plans, but thanks to the great forces of nature the rain stopped and we could enjoy the Ribeirão do Meio. To get there we have to walk a long way where we could appreciate the forest of Lençóis. Ribeirão do Meio is a nature spectacle that has a 60 meters long water slide, where all the exchange students had the opportunity to enjoy an adventurous experience. Besides that there was a hymns and songs dispute between Mexico and Australia, and we’re still in doubt as to who won… Later we went back to Lençóis downtown to enjoy lunch and where there was an opportunity to get to known even more that beautiful city and its citizens that are really friendly with everyone.

On the afternoon we went to Morro do Pai Inácio. To get there we had to walk a really long distance again, but it was really worth it. In there we had the opportunity to enjoy, from different points of view, the beauty of the hill e the region’s landscape. Up there we have the most beautiful view from the Chapada and everyone enjoyed a lot and took lots of pictures with the flags from all the countries that are in the group. Besides that we were told the hill’s legend. On our way back to the hotel we had a wonderful dinner e then enjoyed and participated on a capoeira circle. Everyone started dancing and it was really fun. Today was a tiring day, but we absolutely enjoyed every second of it. We just ask to not go by so fast! Tomorrow we will go from Lençóis to Maceió, where our adventure continues!
